 Adoption refers to taking a child as one’s own and assuming all rights and responsibilities of the parenthood for the child.

Adoption can also be an alternative of abortion for an unwanted pregnancy. In this case, adoption gives the little baby the opportunity to be born, and to belong to a family with parents whose background is well checked.
